Name this book: A british man is transported to a celtic world, becomes king, dies, wakes up back in London?

So this man has a boring life and goes out into the countryside with his friend. They find a fairy mound and he walks around it three times then enters a hole in it. He is transported to a celtic world in the middle of a battlefield. One side takes him hostage and he learns their language and eventually becomes their king. He marries a queen and they live happily, but then an attack happens and she dies, then he eventually dies and wakes up back in London. I would really like to remember the name of this book, it was amazing and I'd like to read it again. Thank you.

This may or may not be it, but your description reminds me of The Song of Albion series by Stephen Lawhead. See Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Song_of_Alb... and Amazon (the first book) http://www.amazon.com/Paradise-War-Trilo... for a description. The series of books include these titles: The Paradise War (1991), The Silver Hand (1992) and The Endless Knot (1993).

(@Now Now: Either pronunciation is acceptable, though pronouncing it with the "k" sound seems to be preferred. However, with the team, the Boston Celtics, it's pronounced with the "s" sound. :)
