JESUS commanded us to LOVE ONE ANOTHER,forgive one another ,we are supposed to be HIS AMBASSADORS, to show a sick world GODS LOVE.(there is a spiritual enemy, who comes but to Kill,Steal and Destroy,he is real and in complete opposition to Christ he is the devil) All you do is glorify him with your behaviour!And did you but know it,. you support his TEAM.Resist these hate-filled urges, be proud to be Scottish, Irish, Celts -dont degrade and destroy one another. GOD LOVES each and every one of you,JESUS died to wash away all your sins to give you all a fighting chance to survive and make it to eternity in a better place than HELL. Reply:I could be wrong but I've been reading up an following this issue for a while.





I've talked to fans that say things like "That proddy/catholic ba**ard" and then that same person say the conflict between Rangers and Celtic fans have nothing to do with religion. Sounds contradicting, I know, but they're just interchangeable words sort to speak.





I think, generally speaking, the fans really don't care what religion a person claims. The word "Catholic" and "Protestant" are just labels in the Old Firm culture. Odds are if you're a proddy then you're a Rangers fan and thus a "loyalist pig" and if you're a Catholic then odds are you're a Celtic fan and thus "Fenian scum" (Even though both teams are based in Scotland)





Example. If you're a Protestant Rangers fans then you'll have a hard time trusting a Catholic as you'll automatically assume they're a Celtic fan and thus you're mortal enemy. And visa versa





Of course, there are fans out there that do hate others based on religion but it's hard to distinguish them between the rest who just like to taunt the other team.





Basically, the whole rivalry isn't about faith. It's about politics, history, and culture.





As I said, I could be wrong so feel free to correct me. Any Rangers or Celtic fan out there is free to contact me as I'm open to learning.
